What is a Power of Attorney?

A Power of Attorney gives legal authority for someone you nominate as your Attorney to manage your legal affairs on your behalf. Your Attorney can step into your shoes and make financial and legal decisions on your behalf as if they were you! Sometime this is a very useful arrangement such as when you cannot act for yourself. However, the power of an Attorney can be abused. Therefore, you must choose your Attorney wisely.
